I read this book as an audio book and it captured my interest from the first few moments. Artrmisia definitely appreciated the inclusion of prints of the artist’s works in the book, since that added to the experience of the story of Artemisia’s life and work.

Lapierre brings the historical Artemisia Gentileschi to vivid life, capturing the sights, sounds, and smells of Baroque Italy as well as the life of this remarkable woman.

User Review – Flag as inappropriate A superb book. I give it only 3 stars because I was lacking more infor First and foremost it is important to mention that this is not a romanticised story of a famous person.
