Sparks really knows how to do it right. He’s a gentleman but also a ruthless warrior. The series has a lot of potential. Cant wait to read their story, and I will continue to read the next in this series that featured a France famous designer, Jean-Luc Echarpe The war is on, but will it end in the destruction of one or both of them.
If I could give the narrators performance zero stars I would since lerrelyn was the only thing lacking.

We always endeavor not to give away endings or major plot twists in either our synopses or reviews, however they may occasionally contain information which some readers might consider to be mild spoilers.
The charters in book one have boy at the end of this book. She is not perfect, makes mistakes with impulsive actions, but she’s not too proud to see her flaws. Umm, I don’t think so. He ends up making a reluctant alliance in order to help Emma, and with a new grandchild on the way, he starts to soften some. Letters may be sent to P. CIA operative by day and psychic slayer by night, Emma Wallace cannot fathom the idea that there are good vampires as well as bad.
The plot was strong, lots of good guys and bad guys, we finally meet the infamous Casimir.
They have no idea how outclassed they really are. She took them to her base, in Ukraine.

Perhaps fans of this series will find more to enjoy here than the very, very little I did, but with so many better vampire romances out there, why bother? How does a woman who’s psychic abilities allowed her to witness the brutal slayings of her parents at the hands and fangs of vampires with a whispered, “Avenge Us,” as a moment-of-death plea deal with the fact that she’s attracted to the very sort of monster responsible? Way to ruin it For example, both Emma and Angus seem to think that English slang for underwear is ‘unders’; I’m an Englishwoman and I’ve never heard ANYONE call them ‘unders’ – they are, of course, ‘undies’ although at the end of the book she finally gets this right.
Equally, a running joke about Scottish attire and the sporran has Emma referring to it as Angus’s ‘purse’. I have listened to many different books over the past years, and this performance is not close to what I have come to expect.
But then he discovers that she’s a vampire slayer, intent on killing the “monsters” who killed her parents. With his assistance, she dispatches the vampires and then trades sexual innuendos before Angus disappears. What a amazing writer you are. Overall this was a very good book and Angus and Emma are two of my favorite Kerrelyn Sparks caracters, very engaging. He ends up making a reluctant alliance in order to help Emma, and with a new grandchild on the way, he starts to soften some.
It does have a slightly darker tone in the content than other two books and I think the cover hinted to that. The early parts of the story were some of the funniest I’ve read in this series, while the climax was edge-of-your-seat suspenseful as Angus and Emma fight for survival against the evil vamps.
